Surah Mulk is a “Makki Surah” which indicates that it was revealed in Makkah before the migration of the Prophet (S.A.W). Al Mulk signifies "the Kingdom or Dominion of Allah (SWT)”. It's the 67th chapter of the Holy Quran. It is comprised of 30 verses and 330 words.

It has been mentioned by Ibn Shihab that Surah Mulk is termed as "the disputer” since it will contend with those who are in the grave.
